Situated in the northern part of the Graves region of Bordeaux, Pessac-Leognan are both famous for reds and dry whites.
Pessac-Leognan reds are still dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, but has a tendency for more Merlot than is found in the Médoc. It's red wine shows blackcurrant, plum, tobacco & earthiness notes. Dry wines in Pessac-Leognan are considered among the finest in all of Bordeaux. Noted for their freshness and vivacity, with citrus, floral & mineral aromas & flavors, some of the white wines in the region have the ability to age for over decades.
